Your Daytona comparison seems to be of the circuit edition and the netlink edition. For me the best Saturn version was the first one just named Daytona USA as it FEELS way more like the arcade with regard to control. These two don’t FEEL like Daytona to me, they just feel like any other racer. Also the first one has the arcade look to the cars. I don’t like the way the cars look in these one you show here. Good vid though so thankyou. 😊

Netlink addition draw distance is looking good

I’ve always been a FIFA player and FIFA 97 was my favorite on the PlayStation. I recently bought a Saturn so I could try that version of the game and holy crap it’s much slower and choppier than the PlayStation version. I never tried Sega Worldwide Soccer but from what I’ve seen, it didn’t appeal to me as much as FIFA did.

This is going to be a DK oldies genre of videos all over again. People buying fake Pokémon games and getting mad on video. I’m calling it!

i remember that video, it's a classic. I also remember someone put a Conkers label on MLB99 (A red cart) just to see if they would take it. GameStop lied to the public by saying that they were training their staff and they weren't. Those repos get resold to people that don't know the difference because they trust GameStop they thought those games are real. It was bad.

GameStop has 3,000 stores & new leadership that wants to make all better. This is a good move.

Personally I don't think gamers should try to scam GameStop by trying to sell them fake reproduction video games because it will work. Many of their employees are Gen Z'ers. You can go to any GameStop in America and ask them about Intellivision or Intellivision Amico and they won't even have a clue as to what you're talking about 💯

I got the memo a week ago from GameStop in an email stating that they have a retro game store locator on their website to find local GameStop stores that sell retro games. The closest one to me is 75 minutes away and it's not even in the biggest city which doesn't make sense from a business standpoint.

There's a retro store location a few miles away from me too. Gonna check it out tomorrow or next week. I don't think this push for retro games is gonna go well for them at all. Their best chance was to hit it hard back in 2010-2015. Nowadays everyone knows about retro games and are not afraid to resell the games themselves on FB Marketplace, Mercari, Whatnot or eBay. And you also have Lukie Games, DKOldies, and other resellers selling games. Then there are video game stores on UA-cam with dedicated fans who also sell. It'll be interesting to see how this goes.

There is one near me... so far ive heard they only sell ps3 wii xbox 360... not for me.

And met Austin many years back. Those guys do incredible work. You should submit your game to their 2025 Byte Off when it comes around.

It seems like Bungie needed to be under someone’s umbrella to keep them in check. They did their best work when they were under Microsoft and Destiny launched and was successful thanks to the support of Activision. They seem to hav been floundering ever since they went solo then got the loose leash from Sony.

If it wasn't for the switch, the last console I really played was the PS3. But I only really use the switch in handheld mode. PC gaming DOMINATES consoles at this point. Xbox is in a hilariously bad place given that every single Xbox game of any value.... Are there any??? Are all available on PC.

Ps5 and series X are the last non Nintendo consoles I’m gonna buy (which I already did). Nintendo is the only one still making their console an actual console.

Jon, at the end of the day you do things at a timeline that is comfortable to you. You've been such a huge pillar of support to your wife and her bodybuilding competitions. You always impress me Jon when you give yourself a new skillset so the fact that you learned how to make a game all on our own is a true testament to your own talent and ability. At the end of the day as long as your happy with what you put out there in the realm of youtube and streaming that is all that matters.

Soul Calibur was the 1st game to incorporate bones and muscles,giving the movements a life like feel to it.

It's not really emulation. Modern arcades are built using PC hardware. The same stuff you have at home. The only difference is that arcade companies fight really hard to keep the data protected and sealed. But eh...fans find a way to dump the games and play them at home.
